Eligibility, Authorship, and OSCOLA Formatting Standards
The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in recognized 3-year LL.B., 5-year integrated law, or LL.M. degree programs at law colleges and universities across India. Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors per submission. To maintain fairness, all submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process where author identities remain completely anonymous to evaluators.
All manuscripts must strictly adhere to the following formatting criteria:
- Word Count: 2,000 to 3,000 words, strictly excluding footnotes and references.
- Document Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) exclusively. Submissions in other formats will not be evaluated.
- Typography: Times New Roman font, 12-point size for the main body with 1.5 line spacing; 10-point size with single line spacing for footnotes.
- Page Layout: Standard A4 page size with 1-inch margins on all sides and justified text alignment.
- Citation Style: Uniform adoption of the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA, 4th edition) throughout the document.
