- Long-Term Litigation Support (6 to 12 Months): Involves real-time case research, trial observation, paralegal drafting, and client intake support requiring eight hours per week.
- Specialized Practice Research: Interns explore dedicated practice areas such as family law legal clinics and criminal justice reform.
All placements adhere to practical training standards aligned with the Bar Council of India legal education guidelines for clinical legal studies.
Core Intern Responsibilities
Selected interns perform practical tasks that directly support public interest legal defense:
- Statutory and Precedent Research: Analyzing Supreme Court and High Court judgments to prepare case briefs for volunteer advocates.
- Legal Content Development: Authoring original legal awareness articles, commentary, and public guides on fundamental rights.
- Human Rights Monitoring: Conducting empirical data collection for specialized initiatives, including prisoners rights research projects and legal aid reform studies.
